Gold Plating Diaphragm Seals
Gold plating is often used on diaphragm seals to enhance their resistance to corrosion, especially in environments where the media is highly corrosive or contains trace elements that could damage the seal over time. Gold is chemically inert, which makes it an excellent protective layer against a wide range of corrosive substances, including acids, alkalis, and saline solutions. Additionally, gold plating can improve the overall durability and lifespan of the diaphragm seal, reducing the frequency of maintenance and replacement, which is crucial in critical industrial processes.
