PFA-Coated Diaphragm Seals

Diaphragm seals, also known as chemical seals or gauge guards, are devices used to isolate pressure gauges, switches, and transmitters from potentially harmful process fluids. When coated with Perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), these seals gain enhanced properties suitable for demanding industrial applications.

Specifications

  • Coating Thickness: Standard 150 microns (Non-standard Thickness on request)

  • Chemical Resistance: PFA coatings provide excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals,
    including acids, bases, and solvents.

  • Temperature Stability: Typically up to 260°C (500°F), ensuring reliability in high-temperature processes

  • Process connection: Flange connection - ASME / ANSI, DIN standard, Threaded BSP / NPT Male Female

  • Ranges: Flange seal Tetroseal: (-) 1 to 300 Bar, OPTIMUS Series: (-)1 to 100 Bar, Threaded Plug seal model: (-)1 to 400 Bar

  • Corrosion Resistance: PFA provides a robust barrier against corrosion, extending the lifespan of diaphragm seals in corrosive environments.

Options

  • Diaphragm material: AISI 316L, Hastelloy C-276, Tantalum, Other material on request

  • Lower Flange housing: AISI 316L, Hastelloy C-276, Other material on request

  • Standard portion of PFA-coating: All wetted portion (Diaphragm surface + Sealing Face),
    Optionally we can provide over only Diaphragm surface, In this case sealing face shall be in base material.
